![]() If you see my profile, i can play sea of thieves with no issue on about 30-40 fps with low setting, and my specs defenitely doesn't meet the spec requirement, but it run well, i was expecting the same to 7 days to die but it just didn't work. Spec requirement isn't really clear on steam page, my vga is indeed has 2 gb vram, also i always make sure my ram is not used more than 20% (i dismiss lot of windows 10 feature, turning off windef, and using steam in non-browser mode to achieve this), my cpu is under minimum but it's not that far. You'd have a Much better time with better specs- But from what I can tell you have a laptop, and upgrades probably aren't really an option. Originally posted by CyeL.:you were right, it seems like my hardware can't handle the game, i have no idea the optimization is so bad Well, In this case it's less about optimization being bad, And more about how your hardware doesn't meet or barely meets the minimum required specifications to begin with: You'd have to close down every excess program that doesn't NEED to be running, enable and enlarge your pagefile, and tweak your gfx settings to the bare minimum to barely scrape by. Overall, You're behind or just at the line for the minimum specs. ![]() This would mean you'd basically have to play on lowest gfx settings with texture size as low as possible and possibly even a low resolution. Minimum GPU is a card that has at least 2gb onboard memory I can't find any mention of how much memory your card has, but, Giving benefit of doubt it's likely 2gb or less considering that I can't find anything stating it's onboard memory. Minimum ram is 8gb which you barely meet- And having minimum ram in this particular game will Require you to have pagefile enabled to at least 4-8gb And even in that case, You'd likely only be able to play a 4k rwg world at best Maybe Navezgane if you don't mind performance issues. Your CPU's baseline is 2.3ghz dual core, with a max turbo on a single core of 2.8ghz But the games minimum is 2.4ghz dual core. you were right, it seems like my hardware can't handle the game, i have no idea the optimization is so bad Well, In this case it's less about optimization being bad, And more about how your hardware doesn't meet or barely meets the minimum required specifications to begin with: My two suggestions above are just a couple easier guesses you might try in the meantime to doublecheck if it's something really easy first. you were right, it seems like my hardware can't handle the game, i have no idea the optimization is so bad Originally posted by FT:Are you crashing when the game is trying to load the main menu, or later when the game is trying to load a world you've created to play in? Thanks for listing your computer specs right away.some folks don't do that and it's a pain to try guessing.įollowing SylenTHunder's directions to use the Pinned thread for copy/pasting your latest crash reports into and linking to it here (fast, free, no sign-in needed).that'll help folks really narrow down the cause. If it's crashing later, while loading a save/world, then it might be a RAM issue (assuming all the driver stuff has already been worked out) where lowering ViewDistance to NEAR and TextureQuality to HALF (or Quarter) and UMAtextureQuality LOWEST can help the game use less RAM/VRAM.Īlso turn your computer's PageFile back on if you've turned it off at some point. If it's crashing before the main menu even loads, Try turning off your 3rdParty AntiVirus and Verify File Integrity for 7Days through Steam (or reinstall the game) with the AV off.sometimes the AV will block part of the install which will cause the game to fail starting or crash pretty early. Are you crashing when the game is trying to load the main menu, or later when the game is trying to load a world you've created to play in?
